The Colegio Pedro de Valdivia, Campus Agustinas, was the first of the Pedro de Valdivia Schools, founded in 1983 in the historic district of Santiago. The school is close to universities, museums and the government palace. The building’s distinctive, neo-republican architecture is considered a historical monument and an important part of the cultural heritage of the city. The School currently has over 1,400 students.

Colegio Pedro de Valdivia Agustinas aspires to serve the academic, personal and social needs of all children and students by following two fundamental objectives: academic excellence and an integrated learning environment. Academic excellence is encouraged by ensuring excellent quality of learning for students through continuously reviewing and assessing learning, inspiring teaching methodology and a rigorous curriculum.

The second objective of providing an integrated learning environment is evident throughout the school. By actively supporting and placing value on the development of skills and disciplines beyond academics, students are guaranteed a holistic learning experience. Colegio Pedro de Valdivia Agustinas offers a wide range of sports and arts-related subjects while placing a particular emphasis on values, ethics and spiritual growth. Additionally, the School has a strong focus on building a learning community not just for students but for staff and parents too.

The aim at CPV Agustinas is to awaken in children and students, their love for life and longing for knowledge. It’s within this discovery that they realise their talents and gifts and become aware of their weaknesses and limitations – giving them the sensitivity to understand and help those around them. Ultimately, students will come away from Colegio Pedro de Valdivia Agustinas having developed true character and the ambition to achieve their greatest dreams.
